Boudewijn Bertsch

The focus of Boudewijn’s work is to support people in bringing out the best in themselves and others. He uses insights from diverse disciplines. These include neuroscience, music, positive psychology, anthropology, biology, somatics, economics and management. Boudewijn opens executives’ minds to a powerful practice of leadership and facilitates their skills and ability to embody it.

Boudewijn believes in inclusive leadership development: working with intact teams, and using small and large scale group interventions, to quickly enable people to make the changes to which they aspire. In addition to providing leadership courses, Boudewijn coaches’ executives and teams and supports leadership teams on change and improvement. He co-authored the award winning article “How Multinational CEOs Make Change Programmes Stick.”

Educated in the Netherlands and Japan as a business economist, over the past 25 years Boudewijn has worked with executives from companies including ASML, Arcadis, AstraZeneca, Atradius, Alexandra Hospital Singapore, Bacardi, Cargill, Core Laboratories, DENSO, GE, Goodyear, IBM, ING, KONE, Microsoft, Millward Brown, Motorola, Nike, The Port of Rotterdam, Sint Radboud Academic Hospital, Royal Philips Electronics, A. Schulman, the Singapore Government, TNT and Vopak.

Boudewijn’s passion for his work reflects his passion for life and for people. While trained in classical music, he has appeared on stage as the lead pianist in a rock band, played chess with inmates at a maximum-security prison where he never let his opponents win, and has lived on three continents. Currently he lives on two. In-between he reads avidly, plays the piano, meditates and practices Qigong.
