Financial institution, Chief Commercial Officer

Over a period of 5 years our company developed from a traditional and mainly Dutch organization with 20fte’s to a dynamic company of 80fte’s, with 28 different nationalities. This richness of cultures is a true asset to the company, but also requires a strong alignment and integration strategy. The onboarding of activities from Japan a few years ago, with a new international team of 20 people joining, was our trigger to start working with The World We Work In. We started a dual track of support, one for management and one for the transition and integration of activities from Asia.

The management track was mainly focused on 3 elements; teambuilding, strategic alignment and enhancing management capabilities needed for executing on our strategy. The World We Work In supported the management team during a period of 2 years and was able to significantly uplift the MT in its functioning. The leanings helped the management team to better understand each other as well as their backgrounds and how to best operate as a team. It was not necessarily the actual change that was most valuable, it was the ability of The World We Work In to find ways to show us who we are individually and what we can become as a team.

The transition program from Asia was a true challenge. The business did not allow for any business interruption and/or mistakes, yet at the same time it needed to be moved and multiple cultures and ways of working needed to be integrated. The World We Work In supported this transition program with training and teambuilding both in Asia and in The Netherlands. With this approach, we achieved to get the best of both cultures combined in the new team in the Netherlands. To close the program, The World We Work In and the Jongens Van De Tekeningen, helped the company in developing its strategy as one team. A great achievement!
